This past weekend was very enjoyable. I played a couple of live sessions. Lost about 30% of my online bank roll, and I came in second place in the coinflip blogger freeroll. I was just happy to play against Tneva. I was laying down on my pillow the entire time. It was only 10 am here in Vegas. I usually play at Bellagio and Venetian. I would prefer to play 5-10 nlhe(NL1000) but truth be told I had a very bad start to the month, so I moved down for a bit to 2-5(NL500). The max B.I. at Venetian for 2-5 is $1000, so I have been playing at Aria. I think it was a blessing in disguise. I have only lost one out of 13 sessions at Aria. The only session I lost was when Bobbo was in town. Hmmm...lol. Anyway, this past weekend I was at Aria. The lineup at my table was three Scandinavian guys, two germans, two russians, and three of us yanks. It was very aggressive and lots of action flying around. I always enjoy playing with euros. I think european players play a similar style to me, and they like to get the chips in the middle.

The only problem with this table was the three Scandinavians kept speaking in Danish while they were involved in hands. This is a big no no here in the states. How can you prove that you are not colluding? They kept doing this repeatedly. I was not involved in any of those hands, so I did not say anything. Then it happened, I was involved in a three way pot.(2 danes and I). They started to speak in Danish, and I very politely asked them not to speak to one another when they were involved in hands unless it was in english. One of the Danes looks at me pointing his finger and says "shut up, I can do whatever I want!" I found this to be very odd. Most Danish players I have played with and the Danes here at CF are very respectful and polite. I made the response of "NO! You can not! Its only english at the table sir." The dealer warned them and on went the hand and I dragged the pot around 320. Tension was most definitely at our table. On the very next orbit, same thing again. I raised to 24 u.t.g. with KK, the three Danes all called and one of the Russians. Very dry flop and I c-bet, and these guys started talking in Danish AGAIN! I said,"Stop talking in Danish when I am involved with you in a pot!" One of them said, "stupid fucking american." I was really shocked at this, like I said earlier, most of the Danes I have encountered have been very cool people. But me being me, said" Then stop drinking my American beer bitch!"

I do not even drink American beer. It tastes like water, then they were drinking Coors Light, which is very funny in itself. Then the f-bombs start flying like missiles. The floor was called. He(the dealer) explained the situation and he(floorman) told them "only english at the table." and warned all of us for the heated exchange. So now our 2-5 game turned into $50 dollar pre-flop raises. Actually some nice poker began being played. All in all...after about an hour of tension and glares. One of the Danes bought the table a round of shots to ease the tension. Somehow over the next thirty minutes...lots of alcohol consumption began to take place. Drinking at the table is something I usually do not do, but on this night it just made sense. It actually turned out to be one the most enjoyable sessions I have played in quite some time. After the nightclub(Eve) closed down for the night, all of their girlfriends showed up to rail them, even the two russians had their girlfriends there. I was also joined by my very beautiful female friend. Bobbo can validate this statement. LOL. Anyway...what started off as a very odd night ended up being a great time. Lots of laughter and drinking. I left without a losing session around 7:30 a.m. Sorry if this was another boring poker blog, but I thought it was funny. Like Bobbo always says,"You friggen danes!" :)
