The Croatian Poker Tour ended well and the rankings have been updated on the official site. Our night out Friday the 27th of August was a lot of fun and very cheap booze flooded our tables.

 

When I woke up I found out it was only MY night that had ended normally. One Finnish guy got kicked in the balls by an angry Swede in the hotel restaurant. Another guy woke up with his pizza eaten by a girl a pizza which he had for 2 days in his hotel room.  I guess the girl he met at the club was hungry after something else than sex. A third guy texted me saying “WTF happened last night!? I woke up in the hospital”. I were the only who didn’t have any interesting stories to tell Saturday morning but frankly I didn’t mind hehe.
 
The Croatian Poker Series was a thrill to be a part of. The location and surroundings were absolutely amazing. The Goalwin staff and owners where as always nice and fun to be around even though I didn’t get to spend much time with them since I made it so far in the main event. Friday evening after I busted as 21nd me and a big crew of poker players went out to a really cool outdoor nightclub by the sea. They had a trumpet band playing and I was amazed how they kept blowing those horns! It was nice to experience something different than the usual 30 songs which are played at all clubs around the world.

The Croatian people seem happy and very friendly. It is definitely a country I can recommend everyone to visit.  The fact you can buy a pizza and a drink in a restaurant for €5 doesn’t make matters worse. Hopefully I will make my way to back to CPS in Split next year.

Since I got back to Malta I have been working almost 24/7 but I have managed to play live poker here 4 nights. I have really enjoyed it and I think the coming 4 months I will improve my live game more than I have the past 5 years. Practice is on the agenda for the fall and staying out of nightclubs in Malta is a must. I want to spend my time constructively and live a healthy life. That is until I travel abroad, then I am allowed to orders drinks and do abnormal things =)

I have improved my all time winnings and kept my ranking as #1 in Malta hehe. Check it out
