Beautiful Croatia here I come! It’s going to be all about poker when I go to Croatia in 8 days to play in Goalwin’s Croatian Poker Series in Split. I got a board meeting to attend to  in Finland this week but after that I am off to Croatia before I return to Malta. A CPS package landed in my lap so I had to take the opportunity to go there and represent Coinflip and to support Goalwin.  I won the €1100 Main Event seat and will buyin to the €3300 “Highroller” event. It is fun to be considered a highroller for a day hehe.

When I was in L.A a few weeks ago I played in a tournament at Commerce which made me realize how much I miss playing poker. Between work and sleep I rarely find time or motivation to play poker. I really want to play more often in Malta but generally I get bored playing the €1/2 NL cash games at Portomaso Casino in St. Julians. I also hate the fact they allow smoking at the tables while having terrible air conditioners making the poker room a cancer trap for passive smokers.

I am excited about playing in the CPS as I think the value will be great. A lot of online qualifiers and a lot of players from Italy which always make the games more fun! In the coming 4-5 months in Malta I will try and play all the €1000+ tournaments I hear about and maybe once in a while play some cash games to splash around and have some fun. Never take life too serious.

 

Besides playing more poker I decided to start painting on canvas again. I have been meaning to do it more frequently for a while. I want to keep my mind challenged with more creative things than calculating pot odds, figure out company turnover and maximizing profits. One thing I have learned is that you can’t force creativity. You have to have the right mindset to find inspiration and be creative. Hopefully it will happen!
