So I played the PCA at Bahamas as planned. The weather could've been better, very cloudy and not that warm. Atleast the sun was out a few days, but the best day was prolly when i was stuck inside in the tournament. I managed to get 129th place and cashed for 20k$ so basically got my trip expenses paid for after taxes. Not really sure how I feel about my bustout hand, I pushed 25bb over an open from what I perceived as a loose player, unfortunately someone behind me woke up with kings... but it was a great trip overall!
I made it back just in time for the helsinki freezeout main event. I managed to bust out at last level of day1 and then played some 60/60€ PLO cash. Lost like 3k that evening but 10k as well to Huuhaa in flips :/. Yesterday I went back to play 60/60€ and managed to lose another 23k. Just such a horrible run. Lost a 12k pot all-in on the turn with top set against a wrap. 18k pot 3way AI pf with my KKQ5ds vs 9932ss vs aces. 5k when I called with JT97ds to a 4way pot and had to fold the KK2 flop with 2k behind... 15k pot with possible implied cash when I bet close to pot into 7 players with the nut flush on 984sss board, the turn was a blank and I potted and got called again, river paired the 8 and had to check/fold to the river 11k all-in bet.
Then one more kinda interesting flop decision where I prolly made a bit of a too loose call which others didn't get at all. One limper, I raise JTKd7d, one repot to 1040 from the blinds which is prolly like 90%+ aces, limper who is a recreational player cold calls which doesnt have to mean much, I call as well. Flop comes Q85 with one diamond. The original 3bettor goes all-in for 2700, the limper as well for about 2100 which I figured basically doesnt have to mean that much, like a low pair with gutshot or a queen. At first it seems like an easy fold, but with the gutshot, second nut backdoor FD and some backdoor straightdraws as well as backdoor 2pairs I think it gets really close, I need like 24% equity, I looked at some scenarios, putting the original 3bettor on random aces, AA**. The other player on blank top2 like Q822, I have over 25% here, or if he has like 876x, I got 30%. But the worst case scenario would obv be if I'm drawing to split on the gutshot. In the end it's prolly a marginal fold, but def not a big misstake to call. I called and was showed aces from the first player as expected, but unfortunately a set of 8s from the other guy, resulting in me only having around 18% equity and lost the pot. Anyways shit happens and you can't win everyday.
Going to EPT deauville in a week to play the main event and prolly the highroller. Lets hope for some good run!
