It's nice to finally have some really good news to blog about. It's been hard to find motivation to write positive things when I've been running like shit for a long time. But now, like some of you prolly noticed, I had a really good day at FTP two days ago. I'll tell you all about it but first let's see what else - and less interesting - has happened after my last blog entry.
I made Day 2 in Copenhagen with about an average stack. The day started out okay until I made a horrible call with QQ on an ace-rag-rag board hoping that the guy is pushing with a flush draw. In a way I was right, but his flush draw was ace high so I had one out. This still left me with an okay stack but I was so disgusted with my play I couldn't do anything else than to give away the rest. Well maybe it wasn't a total donation, I pushed the button with Q9 suited and BB called with KT suited and that was it for me.
I tried some of the FTOPS tournaments including the main and the 2.5k. Obv no good there... I was very close to making Day 2 at the 2.5k. After like 8 hours of play I busted 94th (84 to the money and less than an hour left of day 1) and had to stay up the whole night for nothing. Tournaments are clearly not made for me.
Yesterday was my 8th winning day on a roll (first 6 days mostly on other sites than FTP). I'm running so good right now it's like 2008 again. It's almost scary already, because I'm not used to winning much lately.
Friday started with some 200/400 PLO, that went well. I won a few 3-way flips. Usually I had the worst hand of all 3 but that seems to be the one that always wins. Then DrPill came to the table and asked if I want NL hu. We started playing 4 tables 100/200. I ran really good and won almost 200k in the first session. We played another session later and I won 100k+ more. I didn't really suck out on him that much, I just made tons of hands and he was very aggressive so it was easy to get the money in the middle. The sickest hand was when I 3-bet with pocket nines and he called. The flop was 227 rainbow and we put the money in 2666->5700 ->11111->all-in 25k I called and he had 9T. And boom, ten on the turn. But it's okay, I got lucky in some hands too.
I usually 3-bet $1888 in this session and first time ever my "misclick" to $18888 worked, I had AK and he called AT. I've been trying that trick for years and I think this was the first time it worked. The problem is that the opponent still has to have a pretty good hand so he still has to fold most random hands even tho he thinks I might've misclicked.
I played a couple of hands with Isildur and Ansky, I lost about one stack to both of them. They sat down when I was finishing a long session so I didn't really want to start out with them. I had a longer session with jungleman later. He was surprisingly good. There are actually a few good upcoming american online players. I think UrNotInDanger might be one of them. Anyways I managed to win maybe 70k against jungleman and he'll prolly give me action another time too.
Yesterday I had a pretty short session with luckexpress, we played 100/200 HA. He wanted to play "no muck" and we had to show every hand postflop. I don't like that really, but agreed to do it this time anyways. Won another 70k there. I played a few short sessions at 200/400 Cap PLO whenever there were more players. Pretty much even there.
It's nice to be running good, now I'll just hope it'll keep that way.
