I think I've been whining enough lately here. I don't have any amazing news this time either but at least I'll try to sound positive for a change. Things are not that bad actually, I been grinding some lately, playing some more holdem and it's actually going OK. I don't wanna give out all my nicks in every network, but I can tell something. I got sick of waiting at Betfair (EskiMoes7), never got any action really, been playing some at Ladbrokes (Barbaggo), some basic FullTilt (LarsLuzak), Stars (Lrslzk), and some other sites but that's enough information about that.

I busted 18th (I think) out of 27 (I think) in the Helsinki 7k tournament. Long story short, I opened with KT suited, got 3 callers, flop KT9 all clubs, I c-bet, one caller, turn blank, I have pot left, I jam in, thought I was beat and I was (QJ).

I'm in Portugal now playing the EPT, the first day just ended. Only a little over 300 players here, and not many finnish players which is kind of sad. There was a hand on the first level that really pissed off my opponent. I'm on small blind with KJo and everyone folded to me so I made it 300 and BB called. Flop Q44 with flush draw, I bet 300, and he raised to 750. Kind of odd raise, doesn't need to mean much on my opinion. I call to see what happens and the turn is a ten. I check, he bets again. I catched an open ender and I count kings as possible outs too. If he has a 4 and I make my st8 I prolly have pretty big implieds. I call and the river is an ace. I check, he bets big, I think the only full house he can have is A4, so it's pretty unlikely. I make a small raise and he calls with 45o. He got just insane, talked about the hand for an hour calling me a donkey etc. I think the only bad play that happened was his call on the river when he absolutely never beats anything with trips no kicker. I got lucky twice after that against the same player. First my A7 two pair against his A4 two pair and finally I stacked him off with QQ v 99 so he prolly doesn't like me any more now.

I ran good for a while and built up my stack to 100k, then I lost a few small pots and a coinflip (88 v A9) against a short stack. Then I moved to a new table with 70something. After a half an hour I found aces on the button, I open to 2100, SB calls, and BB moves in for like 40k. I think a little bit, trying to get SB in but it doesn't work and I get a big pot AA against AT. I got like 125k at tops, then I lost a big pot when I 3-bet AK preflop and flop comes KQ5 all spades. I didn't have the ace of spades. I bet out 9k and the guy moves in for 48,925. I think all the made hands he beats me with are KQ and 55. I think he would just flat call with a flush. Anyways the only things I can beat are like AJ or AT with the nut spade draw, but I still somehow find the call button and he has the fives. That was pretty bad play by me, but I didn't come all the way down to Portugal to fold top pair top kicker.

The field seems very soft, there aren't that many good players here, mostly just locals I think. I have 64k to second day, it's a little bit above average. I hope I'm still in on saturday so I don't have to be added money in the 25k hu plo tournament at FullTilt. No...actually the internet is pretty bad in the evening when all the players in the hotel are playing online, so maybe I'm not going to play it anyway. I already lost a lot of money because of disconnects here, so I decided not to play at all at night. And I'm playing the days in the tournament so it looks like I'm getting a nice break from online poker now. Altho the disconnect protection is better at FullTilt so have to think about it if I bust. Tempting...
