Hey Guys, I wanted to know if you could help me with a hand

I play 0.05/0.10 6Max

Úndergund raise 0.30

I 3bet to 0.90

He raises to 2.60

I call with QQ

Flop 5h 9c jh .. He bets 4 dollars I call .. Turn is Js he checks and I check behind river is 3h .. He checks again and I bet 4 dollars and he ships it in with his last 17 and I have 13 to call into like 35 dollar pot .. In my head that play just didnt make sence .. He wouldnt do it with AA or KK or check twice with AJ or he probaly wouldnt check river with flush .. What would you guys do here?

And another quistion is it ok to do all in with AK with 100bbs? I see all the pro's do it but your never more than 50% favour??

that does sound strange...his double check doesn't make sense at all. He might have checked his flush on the river thinking u might take a stab at it on the river. His check on the turn shows that he doesn't have a pocket pair....it sounds very complicated

Hi Mel,

You should consider posting hands you would like to discuss on the forum instead of in a blog like this. You probably would get alot more response to your questions on the Forum!

Also, it would be a good idea to add the following things to your description of the hand, as these are very important to know when trying to make the right decision: stacksizes and read on your opponent (how have he been playing uptil now, do you guys share history).

As regards to your other question, it is OK to move all in preflop with AK with 100bb stack IF your opponent is the kind of guy who would move all in preflop with a worse hand than AK. ;) Again, it comes down to reads and history...

Well opponent doesn't have to be able to go allin with worse hands due to pot odds. Often you find that you are pot committed to call or have to shove for same reason due to dead money if you think opponent will be stacking off light. Say if he's willing to stack with 88-QQ just as well as KK+ and you think he can be 3betting your raise light enough that he will fold some hands as well.
