I like good endings but
new beginnings are even better

October sucked
Last month sucked. I had some of the biggest swings I've had this year. Fortunately I managed to get out of October with only a small loss that other income could make up for. Took the last week off to try to regain my composure. Poker is just too hard if you struggle with your confidence and discipline.

High hopes for November
This month everything's going to be better. I'm starting with the deliberate practice and will work at it hard at least for the rest of the year. Details can be found in my last blog.

Everybody needs success once in a while. That's why I decided to play NL100 for (hopefully) a short period. It has been a long time since I had the feeling of doing well and winning. Every gamblers fix. It is also a good time for me to try some of the new moves I'm trying to work into my game. Messing up and losing money at NL100 doesn't hurt just as much as it would on my normal stake NL200.

To get myself motivated towards good table selection and high intensity while playing I need to have a clear fixed goal. This I why I'm going to follow my 10/3 rule. Win at least 10 BI at a level before I move up. If I lose 3 BI at the higher level it's back down and win 10 BI more and so on. The project starts at NL100. I will post graphs later on to show you the progress.

Stubborn – never!
Now, I have been told that I 'm very stubborn. That's not true (on a few occasions). People say that I don't listen to their advice and keep on doing the same mistakes over and over again. To all of you – I do listen to your advice and even though I know you're right, it just takes time for it to take effect. Consider me as an oil-tanker. I just cruise on and there need to be a lot of external pressure to make me change course. Low influence over a longer time frame is much more effective. Let me give you an example.

Calling 3B out of position is not necessarily bad. To make it wok you have to be a very good player and most people are best served by just folding or 4B. I decided to try to call certain hands like 99, TT, JJ and AQ OOP to 3B. Balugawhale suggest that you just shouldn't do that in his fantastic book 'Easy Game'. I did it anyway to see what happened. I like having smaller pots with more blinds behind which made it seem okay to have a 3B calling range OOP. After many hands it turned out that I simply wasn't able to play those hands with a profit that way. I decided to change strategy to either fold or 4B to make it easier for myself. Balugawhale and some other poker players could argue that I don't listen, but I do. Sometimes I'm just not ready to follow an advice right away.

Working for Bet24
From the beginning of last month Sune and I have been working with Coinflip and Bet24. We are as usual going to write blogs for you and we are working on some new ideas for promotions involving Bet24. In December there are a Bet24 live tournament in Tallinn arranged by Bet24 which both Sune and I are playing. We are both really excited and looking forward to it. Tournaments are not my strong suit but I'm going to practice a little bit both live and online up till the event.

As you probably already have seen Coinflip and Bet24 are running a very big promotion this month with a deposit bonus, a race, an Iron Man Challenge and benefits from the Club24 loyalty program. Please check it out and take the opportunity to make some easy money.
