Been awhile...

Hey Guys.

Its been a little while since my last blog, thought I 'd let the flippers in on whats been going on with my game. As most of you know, unfortunaly my part in coaching project fell through. As compensation for that, the good guys at Coinflip gave me a 6month membership to Cardrunners, which I have been taking advantage of as much as possible. There are some really good videos on there and hopefully I'll be able to put the information to good use. The last month has been going well for me even though I havn't been playing all that much. I did manage to win the first Coinflip Bloggers Freeroll :) and took a 3rd place in the Homegame last week. Earlier tonight I took another 3rd in an 86man field of a 2.20 MTT. I have also had 8 straight winning sessions in my NL10 cash games. After a low point of $130 my BR is now $310, which I am quite pleased about. With the homework I have been putting in, it feels nice to have a few good results to show for it. I hope the run good will last!! Not too sure how much I will be playing the next few weeks with the holidays quickly approaching. I am looking forward to spending my first Thanksgiving with my girlfriend's family. We have been together for a year now and I can honestly say it has been a great year. The years seem to go by so much faster now that we are older and have real lives/jobs/etc. So now I will continue to try and build my BR and improve my game with with the videos on on CR and with help from my fellow flippers :)

With a little help from my friends

So it looks like I am out of luck with the coaching project. I got an email this morning from Thomas saying that Chenloa is M.I.A He asked Sune and Peter if they could take on another student, but they are too busy with their own students and other things, which I completely understand. He also said that if any of the VIP's were interested they would have offered in my other thread. But if anyone is interested in a kinda informal coaching let me know if you have time. I still have the money on PowerPoker so I will still be playing in the CFHomegame and hopefully the Blogger freerolls. Anyways they have offered me a 6month subscription to either Blufire or Cardrunners. I am not familar with either site except for the pros who work at them. I was hoping that some of my coinflip friends could put in some insight as to which site you think would be best for a micro player like me. Also if anyone would like to go over stats or anything like that please dont hesitate. I am disapointed that this did not work out. I was looking forward to it. I thank Thomas for your time and help trying to resolve this issue.Unfortunatly this time I lost the flip. I wish the other students great luck especialy my bud Tneva82.

2nd blog entry.

So I havnt had a coaching session yet and I have managed to lose 25% of the starting Bankroll..Arrg!! I lost two buy-ins to coolers the first hour.. K high flush to rivered Boat and the second major hand I thought I played good but again rivered flush..  " Let me know what you think" The second hand was me 86Heart on button..UTG + 2 raise to .35. i call flop.. is ADiamond6Diamond8Club  he bet .65. I put him on a high A, he had been raising some hands and showed some winners.. Since I am on PowerPoker I cant use a HUD so Im a little bit in the dark..

Micro-Stakes Student!!

Hey Guys,

Today I received confirmation that I was one of the lucky winners of the Micro-Stakes Coaching project. For those of you who dont know it's as simple as it sounds. I wrote a little bit about myself and was lucky enough to be choosen to represent the micro players, get a starting roll and receive coaching from a fellow coinflipper( who has had great success). I am soo excited!! I believe that this is a great chance for me to expand my poker knowledge and bring my game to a new level. I have been grinding the micros on FTP for a few years,( I know thats nothing to brag about) but haven't had the roll or really the insight as to how to beat the higher stakes. Also a victim of poor BR mangement as I bet alot of you are out there. I spoke to my coach chenloa today and he seems like a great guy and as excited as I am to take part in this. I will be updating this blog to let you guys in on how the coaching is going, my luck at the tables, bad beats, dumb shoves, etc. Thank you guys for reading and Thank You to COINFLIP for giving me this chance to improve my game.. Thats all for now. GL at the tables:)
