I took the follwong Gambling Test which you find here:
The text start out like this:

Are you addicted to gambling? Gamblers Anonymous offers the following questions to anyone who may have a gambling problem. These questions are provided to help the individual decide if he or she is a compulsive gambler and wants to stop gambling.

Use the results to help decide if you need to seek help from a doctor or other mental health professional to further discuss diagnosis and treatment of an addiction to gambling (compulsive gambling).

Instructions: Respond to the questions below, then click the "score" button for an interpretation of the results.

I took the test and these are my answers:

1 ) Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling?
  Yes!
Sometimes I really should write a blog about gambling but instead I gamble... And when I was still in university (trying to finish the final thesis - never did) I played poker instead of working on it.

2 ) Has gambling ever made your home life unhappy?
  Yes
After losing 6K I am not the perfect guy for a candlelight dinner...

3 ) Did gambling affect your reputation?
  Yes
But in a good way I think (probably not what they were after). Most people think it is pretty cool that I have made my hobbies (poker and chess) into jobs.

4 ) Have you ever felt remorse after gambling?
  Yes
You didn't really feel like playing. But did anyway and lost. Or you were up say 2k and kept on playing - even though you didn't really feel like - and ended up giving it all back.

5 ) Did you ever gamble to get money with which to pay debts or otherwise solve financial difficulties?
  Yes
Sure - poker pay for my pension and my car and my flat

6 ) Did gambling cause a decrease in your ambition or efficiency?
  Yes
If it wasn't for poker I would probably have gotten that degree in economics...

7 ) After losing did you feel you must return as soon as possible and win back your losses?
  Yes
Hell yes!

8 ) After a win did you have a strong urge to return and win more?
  Yes
Absolutely!

9 ) Did you often gamble until your last dollar was gone?
No!
I use very strict bankroll management and I will never ever go broke (that's a promise)

10 ) Did you ever borrow to finance your gambling?
No!
See 9)

11 ) Have you ever sold anything to finance gambling?
No
See 9)

12 ) Were you reluctant to use "gambling money" for normal expenditures?
No
gambling money = normal money :)

13 ) Did gambling make you careless of the welfare of yourself or your family?
No
Why should it? It's a job.

14 ) Did you ever gamble longer than you had planned?
  Yes
Hell yeah! I have said to myself: just play a few hours... but then I start out in the hole and I am still sitting there trying to get even after 12 hours...

15 ) Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble, boredom or loneliness?
  Yes
I am a very restless man! Actually poker helps me to be more in the 'now'

16 ) Have you ever committed, or considered committing, an illegal act to finance gambling?
  Yes, no, yes
Poker is maybe illegal... ah dunno stupid question. Haven't done anything normal criminals would do to finance gambling.

17 ) Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping?
  Yes
After playing 4k hands the fish keeps checkraising me in my sleep. Wish he would stop

18 ) Do arguments, disappointments or frustrations create within you an urge to gamble?
No
On the contrary: I never play if I am out of balance.

19 ) Did you ever have an urge to celebrate any good fortune by a few hours of gambling?
  Yes
Sometimes I play a tournament (even though I suck) if things are going well

20 ) Have you ever considered self destruction or suicide as a result of your gambling?
No
Absolutely not.

If you can answer yes to more than 7 of the above questions you might have a problem. I answered yes to 13-14 so I am a compulsive gambler according to the test. But maybe they are exaggerating a little bit? But I will think about it. A 'real' gambling problem is not funny so take it seriously. cya at the tables...
