Man craziness in poker world right now. Going to be very tough to be an online pro living in america for the time being. Hopefully the U.S. legislation gets worked out soon and U.S. brick and mortar casinos open up some sites soon. In the meantime there still are some sites offering games to american players. I've been dabbling on overbet.com, which is on the merge network. They are still U.S. friendly and the games have seen a noticeable spike in the number of players since black friday.

I only have ~6kish on there so I'm going to do a little personal challenge and try to run it up. Going to start at 1/2, move up to 2/4 if I get to 10k and move up to 5/10 if i get to 20k. Aggressive bankroll management ftw! Already amazed at how much more limping there is at 1/2, its a totally different game hah. We'll see how it goes. I'll be posting frequent updates here so stay tuned!

On another note with not much else to do since no real poker I've been working out a lot the past 2 weeks, and trying to eat a lot healthier. Have a 10 mile race on sunday which will be the longest Ive ever run contiunously hah so hopin I do alright.

Hey this is John O'Rourke and I play online under the alias UMD
Tennis.  I'm excited to be starting a blog on coinflip and to be
giving people a glimpse into my life, as well as help myself keep
track hah. I'm also pumped to just having signed with Overbet.com as a
pro for the site.  I've played there a bit already and have to say I'm
very impressed with the software, as well as the softness of the
games!

I just wanted to get this up and running for now, but will be making a
longer blog soon with a bit on my poker background. I plan on updating
here a lot with graphs and fun hands and all that good stuff. Looking
forward to being part of the community here!
