Hi all you esteemed members of the Coinflip community. The week has been business as usual and poker has treated me well. I have to be satisfied with the results, since I haven’t been at my sharpest and every now and then I’ve just been splashing around like in the good old times.

We had a big tournament here in Helsinki (big for Finland, that is) a week and a half ago and I came 2nd. I guess I should be happy with that even though I had the chip lead coming into heads up play. Three bottles of red wine, some Fisherman’s Friend Vodka shots plus some other standard drinks were there to make sure that I would donk my way into second place. I stood up from the table and went to the gents in the middle of play without saying anything to anyone, and my opponent took my blinds while I was away… When I came back and saw what had happened, of course I got angry (being a man of drunken principle) and declared that I will go all-in every hand no matter what. As if that wasn't enough, they say I even started showing my cards before my opponent had made his decision… oh well. The next day I had no choice but to apologize to the casino and the other players. There’s some videos about it all that I'm gonna post here in the next couple of days so check back.… Anyway, I made €125,000 for second place and the cash games were okay, too, so I can't complain.

I’ll finish with an amusing Black Jack story, this happened in the tournament week in Helsinki, too. The maximum stake at the Grand Casino is 2k per box. I have the first four boxes, 2k in each, and some fish has the other three boxes for like €30 each. The dealer has a face card and I have 20, 20, 19 and 17. Of course I stand pat on each one… The donk has a 20 and he stands pat on that, a 16 and stands pat, but in the last one he has 17 and he draws one, it’s a 3. Now he has 20 against the dealer’s face card and this Black Jack pro decides to draw one more… of course he gets an ace. The dealer draws a 5 and a face and busts… We laughed our asses off…. Of course it doesn't matter what the other players do in the long run but it was funny and I got lucky because of him. I dug myself a little hole in BJ during the tournament week, though.

On Wednesday (Jan 28th) I’m off to London to do some interviews and party with Coinflip people. My next tournament will probably be some EPT event, San Remo most likely. Write those blogs, people, and post in the forum. Let’s grind and gamble!
