The dynamic duo of journalist Tero Salonen and photographer Samuli Karala have started a new blog on the Coinflip User Blogs section; in the first entry, our heros visit poker legend Doyle Brunson at his home in Las Vegas.

ESPN coverage of the WSOP Europe Main Event last September started running last Sunday. Among the various poker treats was a priceless exchange between Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth concerning the usual "grand entry" made by Hellmuth. As you may remember, this time it involved slave girls, centaurions and Hellmuth dressed as Caesar complete with bronze chestplate and a laurel wreath, just like at the WSOP in Las Vegas a couple of months earlier. Some people may have found it funny, but Doyle wasn't impressed.

Doyle Brunson says he has to withdraw from the PartyPoker Premier League and a number of other upcoming tournaments. "My gut feeling is just chill out until the WSOP and try to have a big series," the veteran says on his blog on Doyle's Room.

Doyle Brunson writes in his blog how he broke his own poker rule during the high stakes cash games in December. Doyle writes that he has been on a losing streak and he broke his own rule: "If you lose four or five times in a row, you should always take a break."

At the time of writing, 25 players remain at the WSOP Europe  and Doyle Brunson is still in the mix battling for a place at tomorrow's final table. During his stay in London, Big Papa has also found time to update his blog and give his view on the WSOPE and Phil Hellmuth.In Doyle's opinion the WSOPE should move to a different city every year. "London is just too expensive for the beginning pros to play.  The Empire Casino is where we play now and it needs to be bigger," Doyle says. He believes the WSOPE would draw bigger fields if Harrah's takes his advice.

Patrik Antonius talked to Coinflip.com to inform the poker world that someone is posting unauthorized Twitter updates using his name. The entries, probably made by some over zealous fan, contain stuff that Patrik does not want to be associated with. He states that he doesn't even have a Twitter account, and he has nothing to do with these so called updates.

Poker News Daily have put out an interesting interview with Doyle Brunson. The poker legend talks about his upcoming autobiography, his surprisingly tight play in the latest season of High Stakes Poker and the celebrity side of poker, among other things.Doyle reveals that he tried to pull out of the book project twice, but finally relented to pressure and the finished book will be coming out in November. It's sure to be a fascinating read and an eye witness account of the biggest poker games on this planet during the last 50 years.

In a lighter (sort of) note in his blog, and in anticipation of the upcoming Poker Hall of Fame vote, the poker veteran Doyle Brunson has named his Poker Hall of Shame. "This would consist of poker players who abuse dealers, players, or both. The only other criteria to make the Hall would be you gotta be dead. We all know living players who deserve to be in, but we don’t want to make too many enemies," Doyle writes.

High stakes cash game pro David Oppenheim recently commented the Big Game at Bellagio during the WSOP, saying the games were probably the biggest in Las Vegas since Andy Beal."There was a million dollar pot every hour," Oppenheim said to the Swedish Pokermagazine.se.Andy Beal is the mega wealthy Texan banker who challenged the top pros in Vegas to a huge heads up Limit Hold'em match. Beal was a very competent player, but reportedly he lost tens of millions to the "Corporation" formed by Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman and other top pros.
