i also wear sweatpants/ hoodies when i play live..also with headphones..i think it is too boring to not have some other means of entertainment..if i dont bring the music i read a book..i can learn enough form players live without having to stare at them for an hour straight..if i know im gonna be at a table/game for more than 5hours,im going to try and be as comfy as posible..i am a big hater of sunglasses tho..unless i can see your cards in your eye reflection!! which has happened quite as few times

You should not judge his play by his appearence imo. But you can sum up what kind of guy you are dealing with. And I say douche in this case. Just trying to hard to be 'the act'. They usually have some 'issues' when they go out of their way to look like something they are not. Still I think it is very entertaining to watch the wannabees and it is hard not to make fun of them hehe
If you play livepoker - even for a living - the social aspect is part of the deal. In livepoker you have very bad players but it is so slow (and no one ever folds) that it must be something you like. And if you don't like for the social interaction then what do you like?

Douche, but IMO he's a very solid Hold Em' player. Everytime I see him on TV he has the monster read on his opponents and runs horrible...

This is actually a good question. One I ask myself quite a bit, in fact. I do not like live poker for the social interaction as far as chatting and taking part of the conversation. You get so many people from so many different walks of life. It can be interesting at times. There are also the times where it is just brutal. It can be very annoying. I do like it for the social interaction when referring to live tells. I have only played online poker for one year. I missed the "glory days" so many of my friends here in the real world and some of you guys i have met and respect here on coinflip talk about. I kind of missed the wagon in that regard. I made up my mind I was going to purchase hem or pt(prob hem) and REALLY work on my online game, then around the same time the lawmakers in this country are making it very difficult to play online. We(americans) do not have it as good as you(euros) when it comes to deposits, withdrawals, and limited online poker rooms. I will always prefer live poker. I think it may have something to do with the fact that I do not think I have it in me to sit at a computer for 8+ hours a day. I do not know if I am clever enough to be a winning player NL200 or higher. I mos def will not grind micro. Maybe I play live because the players are "very bad." I need all the edge I can get. haha

Makes sense to play live. The winrate is higher period. You win more money in less hands, plus you have physical advantages like trapping and reading your opponent. IMO much better ROI % so if you have access to it I think most people would play live.
