Software Consultant 9-5 (borrrring)
Personal Trainer on the side (more as a hobby)
Dream to run a business or two and play poker on the side within the next few years to escape the 9-5 cubicle nightmare!
I gotta say I'm pretty jealous of your baseball career Bobbo, I always dreamed of playing sports for a living, just never had the talent. Very few lifestyles seem as pimp as a pro athlete's. I guess the life of a poker pro is pretty close though. It's just that you don't see Phil Ivey signing $100 million dollar contracts with Nike and McDonald's like Lebron James and Tiger Woods. Those guys are pretty close to billionaires as a result of putting a round ball in a hole better than everyone else.

Yeah man, to get paid to play a sport is a cool thing but on the other hand it made me hate the game. Unless your in the majors, its not all its cracked up to be. for ex, we would be in alabama, play a game, get down around 10 o clock. Shower and hop on the bus for a 4 hour bus ride, get in the hotel for a couple hours of sleep and back on the field at 11 am to do it all over again. I was also the worst pitcher on the team nothing to be proud of lol.
I got alot of respect for those who grind out the 9 to 5 man good stuff

Never really had one if you don't count some summerjobs what I had in summer holidays when I was in school. Almost all of my incomes have been coming from poker after I turned 18.
And for the people who can answer:
How did poker change the way you think about money after you quit your 9 to 5 job and started to play poker professionally?

Hi there,
Momentarily I'm an intern at a logistics company and have gotten myself promoted to do some reall order management stuff instead of my intern report about 'a better way of reporting'. So it's good. However I can imagine better jobs than what I do now. But it'll be OK when I'm done with my education.

The last 9 to 5 job I had was as a self employed UNIX system administration. Before that I did the exact same job for large company.

Last 'real' job I had was after highscholl at a diner (cleaning the dishes and sitting at the register) at ferryboat between Denmark and Sweeden. I had it for 3,5 month and decided to never have a 'real job' again. I had the same experience as Bobbo with sports (if chess is a sport) - when it becomes 'real' it takes a lot of the fun. Unfortunately the same goes for poker
