Coinflip.com Ultimate Vegas Guide

Postby bet-a-pot » 22.07.2010, 09:55

We have so many players that visit LV frequently, so let's build this up!

Topic rules:

1 post equals to 1 place / location / show / nightclub etc. If you have more, post multiple entries. Everything from poker rooms to hotels, from diners to strip clubs.

Entry format:

- Location / Place
- Picture (google it up if you haven't got your own)
- Description / own experiences
- Stats (price range if applicable, stakes / levels if applicable etc...)
- Rating (format :s: / :s: :s: :s: :s: :s: , :s: :s: / :s: :s: :s: :s: :s: etc.)

All weird locations and off-strip gems are the most welcome! If there are problems with pictures, don't worry, just post your entry and I'll moderate it later to keep everything in order.

Let's make this the best Las Vegas guide on Earth.

Fireside Lounge (Peppermill)
2985 Las Vegas Blvd

Image

I was told this is one of the landmarks of Las Vegas. A very nice coctail lounge on the back of the Peppermill restaurant. Featured in many movies and TV-series. A great place to take you girl out or simply to get hammered. Excellent waitresses, good range of tequilas, interesting selection of exotic coctails. Will visit again.

Drinks from 4$-30$.

Le Reve
Wynn casino and hotel resort

Image

In my opinion, everyone who goes to vegas should go see Le Reve on Wynn.

Its a spectacular show with dancers, swimmers, divers and acrobats. Its really hard to explain but its epic. Go and see for yourself. The floor (it's a pool) is constantly changing and trees and everything is emerging in the depths of the water.. It's Awesome.

Tickets are 155usd but its really worth it. You can also buy vip tickets for 190usd to get champagne strawberries and chocolate. Cheaper tickets are also available, from Tix4tonight for example (if you get lucky).

The SteakHouse
Circus Circus Hotel and Casino

A truely amazing Steakhouse in the old and run down Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. I found this place on my first trip to Vegas in 2001 when I was 18. Your can cut your beef with your fork. Recognized as the #1 Steakhouse in vegas for 20 years in a row. Supprisingly cheap for the quality and quanity of food you recieve. A must go if you can stomach Circus Circus!

My Gf and I both got filet mignon with all sides included, bottle of some white wine, dessert, night cap, all for around $100 including tip.

Lotus of Siam
953 E. Sahara Avenue

Image

If you like Thai food, this is the place. Best Thai restaurant in Nevada (or in the country) considered by many. Lotus of Siam is located in a mall, off strip, ~$10 cab ride away. The restarant looks odd from outside, but when you get in, it's just excellent. Price quality ratio is just superb, and you'd have to eat there for months to try everything on the menu. If you want to go there fri/sat evenings, I'd suggest you make a reservation beforehand.

3 course dinner including soup, appertiser, main course and drinks for three people were around $70-$90.

JET Nightclub at the Mirage

Image

Not the biggest Nightclub in Vegas compared to Tao or XS(thats the only three clubs ive been to in Vegas ^_°) but still its a nice and well crowded place to have fun in. It has 3 Halls as far as i remember with 1 Mainstream Hall, 1 Techno and 1 Black Music Hall~ The prizes are acceptable, guys have to pay 30$ cover charge for the entry and the drinks were acceptable as well. One great thing which i heared of(not 100% true or confirmed) u can get via Twitter on the guest list, to get in faster.

Pinball Hall of Fame
1610 E. Tropicana

Image

A very nice place to spend an afternoon (when hung over)... The Pinball Hall of Fame is an attempt by the members of the Las Vegas Pinball Collectors Club to house and display the world's largest pinball collection, open to the public. You can play pinballs all the way from 1950's and many of the 1980's and early 1990's arcade classics. Game list here.

Good way to gtfo the hectic strip and go back a few years.

25c games, no entry fee.
