Playing with drunk friends
This weekend I like many other's who live in the North East made the venture down to Atlantic City to grind out some fish while getting hammered and hopefully pulling some girls from the Pool Party. At around 3 am one of my good friends stumbles over to my table obviously drunk and someone who I have a long history with, who lives in my hometown with me. We have played tons of home games together for at the .25/.50 stakes. Normally when going to a casino together we don't work "together" but we most certainly do not put moves on each other seeing as how we came together, are friends, and find this to be counter-productive to the overall win-rate we hopefully can, and should achieve. Just wanted to post this hand and get feedback on whether people like my call, don't like my call, and wonder how I should have handled everything that went down. (yes my call was thin) but if you look at my percentages, I was a clear 70% favorite. Just funny how sometimes even when making the right call, it doesn't work out.
We are heads up
Hero: 5c 7s
Villain: Ad 6d
I was in the blind and obviously didn't play this hand out of position or even in position to any raise pre-flop.
Flop: 4d 6c 7c
I check, he checks behind
Turn: Kd
I bet 20$ into 25$ pot
He thinks for a second, before shipping his entire stack, about 140$ more in.
I tank and am almost certain I am beat e.g. flopped straight, or set.
He then starts saying "Just call and double me up, just call and double me up"
I have about 750$ starting the hand and stare him down, stack out 140$ and then think about everything that happened and more or less come to the conclusion that by the way he's talking even though he's drunk, doesn't want a call.
I sack up, and call with my pair of 7's to his pair of 6's and backdoor flush draw even though he's my boy just because I knew he was making a move on me and figured I couldn't call becase he was also saying, "just lay it down I have you"
Normally I would agree and fold my pair, but this time I just didn't agree, felt like he was making a move on me simply to say that.
River: 5d
He instantly flips his hand and yells out: NUTS
I muck and before mucking realize he only had a pair of 6's and that I made the right call.
I say nothing, and he continues to berate me, and thank me for doubling him up. Even though he was drunk I thought it was pretty dick to suckout on me and then say that.
He ended up getting kicked out of the casino about an hour later after getting into a fight with a marine after he insisted on a table change.
Thoughts on my call?

Well if he was drunk I would say easy call. I would lead the flop though. You flopped pretty damn good and it's limped pot. He was unlikely have anything strong so might try to get some value from his random hands he has there.

Planned on check raising the flop, although if I led, and he called, and the turn came, I checked and he leads, I call, river comes, I check he shoves, I probably save money...
