[50NL] confusing turn spot.
BB: $138.57
UTG: $97.98
MP: $10.44
CO: $51.03
Hero (BTN): $50.22
SB: $60.50
Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is BTN with A
A
3 folds, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, BB calls $1.50
Flop: ($4.25) J
6
2
(2 players)
BB bets $0.50, Hero raises to $6, BB calls $5.50
Turn: ($16.25) Q
(2 players)
BB bets $16.25
villain is 44/10/1.73 over a small sample. i've seen him c/r shove J 9o on a Q J x rainbow flop. but he was shortstacked when he did it.
in this spot i am 'thinking' he has a set that got scared on that turn and decided to pot it. that's what i thought in game. but still a confusing spot overall (for me at least). what would you do?

Ahhhhhhh...The old 50cent bet into a 100$ pot..classic!!!
Honestly in this spot, when a dude donk bets 50c on flop in these games...I will say he has a heart flushy draw a good..uhmmmmmm
60% of the time....hard to fold the turn even after the flush hits and he bets out...But after a some thinking...I fold...
Looks like he has the flush (or qj)....but To be honest I prob shove the flop there 90% of the time after he bets his 50 cents (prob -EV +Donkplay) but hey, im a donk!
lol

I also think it looks so much like a flush. I don't think he has a set ever, but could be two pair. Here is a little tip: A player who donkbet, is raised, calls and then donkbets again on the turn never folds to a raise - haven't seen any do that yet!! I think it is a fold but sometimes I just shove it in here hoping to see some hand with a J.

I have! ONCE!
Guy was even shortstack so I was pretty dumbfound when he folded. Damn! I had nuts so was happy. "Yey! He donkbet-called-donkbet again! 100% quarantee double up unless he has hand that can suck out! WTF?!? He folded?!? Getting like 6 to 1 pot odds or better?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
But yeah as a rule of thumb they virtually never fold there. Generally if I have monster and they do it I just ship it. Even if it's overshove. They just don't fold so why let them draw cheaper and probably not get call on river if they were drawing and miss. Get the stack in on turn.

The .50 cent bet was simply a scared c-bet flush draw....freaking tons of noobs do that. They get way too scared to c bet too much. I'm not really sure what the problem was about check/raise out of position on this one but that .50 bet should have rang a lot of bells. What was the outcome? You folded?
