In a bizarre turn of events, Ali Tekintamgac has sued the directors of the Partouche Poker Tour in France. Tekintamgac was disqualified from the tour's main event last fall after video showed him cheating.

Turkish-German poker pro Ali Tekintamgac last fall caused outrage as he was disqualified from the Partouche Poker Tour main event final table.

Tekintamgac was outed from November's Partouche final table after casino footage revealed how he was allegedly using signaling systems to attain information about his opponents' hole cards.

The scandal sent shock waves through the international poker community, and Tekintamgac has since remained under the radar as investigations proceeded in the case.

Partouche initially threatened to bring Tekintamgac and the casino footage to court in France, but according to Hochgepokert.com, French authorities have yet to find any wrongdoings in the case.

This has now led Tekintamgac to sue Partouche for €1.5 million, an amount based on his possible winnings from the tournament and the damage the allegations have meant to his reputation.

"My client was never questioned by French authorities," Tekintamgac's lawyer Filiz Tinas said.

"He has very good chances of winning," she added.

While Partouche has yet to make an official statement on the lawsuit, the first date of court has already been decided to be April 1st, this year.
