An Iowa man is offering to take over a prop bet that Phil Ivey recently lost to Tom Dwan - and lose 100 pounds in the process.

One of the side action highlights on the current season of High Stakes Poker was the $1 million vegetarian prop bet between Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan, where Ivey agreed not to eat "anything that moves" for one year. Ivey gave up after just 3 weeks and bought himself out of the bet for $150,000 - and then had what was probably the most expensive plate of chicken in the world.

Now amateur poker player Mike "Mikey Knuckles" Hall from Williamsburg, Iowa, a certified BBQ judge with the Kansas City Barbeque Society and a true meat lover, has released a new challenge for Tom Dwan. He pledges not to eat meat for a year and lose 100 pounds (45 kg) in the process.

The stakes: if Dwan loses, he must hand over $1 million to Hall and $1 million to the Williamsburg Public Library Fund. If Hall loses, he will give up poker and barbeque and work at a fast food restaurant for a year - and he will also hand over his custom built motorcycle to Dwan.

Hall states that the 2 million is "just a starting point" and he will be happy if Dwan accepts for $150,000 so he "has nothing to lose but Ivey's cash".

To give you an idea how momentous this bet would be, "Mikey Knuckles" currently weighs 330 pounds (150 kg) and takes part in more than 20 BBQ contests a year. This former Marine Drill instructor has been known to eat 3 pounds (1.35 kg) meat in one sitting.

"Knuckles" is running his own website hatbrat.com where he announced his challenge to Dwan, check it out here.
