Looking back at the high stakes games on Full Tilt Poker in August, five players made over a million dollars but only one of them, David Benyamine ($1m) has regularly recorded these kind of figures over the years - whether in the red or black. Ashton "theASHMAN103" Griffin (pictured) had a super month and made more than $2.4 million. The other players over the million dollar mark were Cole South, Brian Hastings, and David "POKERBLUFFS" Eldar.

The biggest losers in August come from Scandinavian countries: Gus Hansen -$2m, Erik "DIN_FRU" Sagström -$1.9m, and also the biggest winner in 2009, Patrik Antonius had a rare bad month with -$1.2 million. Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Phil Ivey had losing months, too, and martonas' high stakes adventure ended - at least for now - with a loss of -$705k.

Our resident Coinflip pros were taking it easy this month; Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies played just 4,438 hands but made a nice profit of $668k, while Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuro played 4,208 hands and lost -$75k.
