PokerStars NAPT Venetian ended with the $25,000 High Rollers Shootout event with the title going to Ashton "TheASHMAN103" Griffin after he defeated the veteran pro Hoyt Corkins heads up. Griffin earned $490,000 for his troubles despite the fact that his preparations for the final table were not so optimal: after winning his opening table he spent the next night and morning online and returned to the final table the next day without sleeping a wink.

It may not have been so optimal but it's typical for many young online players, and he won so obviously it's not a big deal; he didn't go totally without sleep but took some naps during the breaks.

The invitational event was played in shootout format with the winners of each table taking home $75,000 and progressing to the 7-handed final. Players also received $5,000 bounty for each knockout plus $100,000 to the player with most bounties. Griffin received $460,000 for the win and $30,000 for 6 knockouts, but the $100,000 bonus went to Scott "mastrblstr" Seiver who took out 8 opponents.

1. Ashton Griffin
2. Hoyt Corkins
