The numbers are in and it doesn’t look good for the future of new poker show Face the Ace. The show aired last Saturday night during the 9:00 to 10:00pm time slot. TVByTheNumbres.com posted the show’s ratings at 0.7 with a 3 share, which translates to 1.59 million viewers. The top show in that time slot is “Americas Most Wanted”, which has been airing for over 20 years and is the longest running show of any kind of the Fox Television Network.

Despite the network’s attempt to make Face the Ace appeal to a much broader audience by filming it in a “game show” style, the response hasn’t been great. Full Tilt Poker sponsors the show and all of the “Aces” are pros of the online poker site.

The show will air again this Saturday, August 8th at 9:00pm EST. It’s scheduled to broadcast once per month until January 2010. Here is the schedule for the rest of the first season:

August 8th, 2009 – 9:00pm ET

September 12th, 2009 – 2:00pm ET

October 31st, 2009 – 3:30pm ET

November 14th, 2009 – 3:00pm ET

December 12th, 2009 – 3:00pm ET

January 2nd, 2010 – 2:30pm ET

In the next episode, Don "The Basement Dweller" Topel will play for $1,000,000 after defeating Erick Lindgren and Howard Lederer to get to the last hurdle.
