Online poker site and betting exchange Betfair reports that more than half of the money wagered on the Main Event outright betting so far has gone to Phil Ivey despite the fact that the top pro starts the final table with a significant chip disadvantage.

Ivey's odds started at 8:1, at the moment of writing you can buy him for 6.4/1. Chip leader Darvin Moon, who has more than 5 times the stack of Ivey, is at 3.3/1.

"Obviously the chip lead is important," says Betfair's International Public Relations Manager Richard Bloch to Pokerlistings.com. "But people put a lot of weight on experience at the table."

Bloch states that Betfair expect the action to pick up considerably as November approaches. Part of the action will come from other top pros who have placed side bets against Ivey.

"We expect people with huge prop bets against Ivey to be using the site to lay off those bets. We will probably see ten times the action by the time the final table rolls around," Bloch says to Pokerlistings.com.
