Former World Champion and WPT Championship winner Carlos Mortensen took the lead at the WPT LA Poker Classic at the end of Day 4. The Spanish pro has a slight lead over Mark Newhouse as 22 players remain in the field.

The deck warmed up for Mortensen as the day was coming to a close; first he doubled up with AA vs JJ, and a moment later he was the one holding JJ vs QQ, but flopped a set for a second double up.

Other players still battling for places at the 6-handed tv table include Masa Kagawa, Annie Duke and Johnny Chan.
