WSOP Main Event winner and one of the poker pros behind Full Tilt Poker, Chris Ferguson has decided to expand his business ventures to the movie industry. Ferguson is one of the investors in a new film/TV venture RCR Pictures.

The company will be run by producer Robin Schorr, while Ferguson and Ray Bitar (also a major owner behind FTP) are the main investors.

Schorr says that it took him 18 months to get Ferguson and Bitar to warm up to the idea even if the two are big film fans.

RCR Pictures are looking for good manuscripts for future projects. Their first production is a remake of Nevada Smith, a Steve McQueen western from 1966.

And yes, RCR Pictures is interested in producing a film about poker.
