The Finnish Online Championship of Poker, or FCOOP are running on PowerPoker, and on Event #3, $109 PLO the Coinflip blogger and heavy user bet-a-pot put the rest of the field in a neat package in just under seven hours and took down the title and $5,589 first prize money.
The tournament attracted 157 Finnish online players to PowerPoker to try their luck in this very popular poker variant in Finland. In the end it was bet-a-pot who had all the chips and the $5,589 first prize money.
"What a luckbox!" bet-a-pot comments to Coinflip. "FCOOP has excellent value because of the added money by PowerPoker, and since I know the rules of the game I decided to try my luck. We were having a party with friends on Friday night and so I splashed around in the tournament amid all the ruckus."
Congratulations to our man!
FCOOP runs until December 20th and Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies is just one of the Finnish top pros taking part. Naturally, the events are open only to Finnish players.
