WSOP finalist Darvin Moon seems to be a man of many surprises. The news contains spoilers about the Main Event final table.

WSOP runner up Darvin Moon surprised many with his strong performance heads up against Joe Cada. However, it turns out that wasn't the only unexpected thing about him.

Moon started with a clear disadvantage, but played fearlessly and seemed to take Joe Cada much by surprise. In the end the game finally swung Cada's way when Moon lost his chip lead with a semi-bluff gone wrong.

Moon wasn't too depressed by the turn of events, though. "Am I sad about it? Am I depressed? Hell no," he said to Washington Post.

Moon won more than $5 million but it seems like there won't be many changes in his life, not in the near future at least. He will be at work on Friday morning, and that same evening he will go to his local card room to take part in a bi-weekly $30 tournament, where the winner usually takes down about $600.

At least he won't have to worry about money anymore. That hasn't always been the case, as is evident in a story published by Baltimore City Paper. Apparently Moon has had a few unpleasant clashes with the law previously. He has received probation for forgery and theft as well as three counts of passing bad checks.

Apart from that, court records show liens filed against him for a total of $35,000, mostly banks, but including an auto supply shop at his community. Probably his creditors are happy now - and hey, everybody makes mistakes.

"It's just money," was Moon's comment on the $5 million he won. When a spectator said to him, "You just won a crapload of money," Moon answered, "No, Uncle Sam did. And what did he do for it?"
