Poker News Daily have put out an interesting interview with Doyle Brunson. The poker legend talks about his upcoming autobiography, his surprisingly tight play in the latest season of High Stakes Poker and the celebrity side of poker, among other things.

Doyle reveals that he tried to pull out of the book project twice, but finally relented to pressure and the finished book will be coming out in November. It's sure to be a fascinating read and an eye witness account of the biggest poker games on this planet during the last 50 years.

Regarding High Stakes Poker, Doyle dismisses the notion that he has become too tight. "I get that a lot," he says and continues, "The way others at the table play dictates the way you play. These young kids are so aggressive that it’s hard to be more aggressive than they are. That would just make a total crapshoot out of it." Doyle goes on to say that poker is about winning and picking the right style to beat your opponents. "The reason I’ve been so successful [at High Stakes Poker] is that other people try to build their image up. Instead of trying to play good poker, they try to make 'flashy' plays."

Doyle also admits that he doesn't enjoy all aspects of the poker explosion in recent years. "I don’t consider myself to be a celebrity. I’m not an entertainer; I’m a poker player. It seems like some of these 'wannabees' spend more time trying to be entertainers and performers than they do playing poker," the veteran says to Poker News Daily.
