The last day of the WCOOP preliminary events saw two players take down their second titles in this year's series. First it was the tournament juggernaut Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier who recorded his second win in just two days at the $215 NL Hold'em event, beating a whopping 9.219 opponents on his way to victory.

He even got some help (sort of) from his fellow players in a funny chat moment, when the eventual 3rd place finisher chilipepp lectured him after he had won a hand with 43 suited:

chilipepp: u should fold there elky
ElkY: i should
ElkY: i don't really like to fold
chilipepp: new things are often good 4 u

In the end ElkY (pictured) did something that is definitely not a new thing for him, ie. he won the tournament.

At the $10,300 HORSE event it was Daniel "djk123" Kelly who became the second double winner at WCOOP 2009, beating a tough field for $252,350. Amazingly, Kelly is also in the top 10 at the WCOOP Main Event after Day 1. Today 178 players will return to battle it out for the $1.72 million first place prize.
