Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuro and Nick Schulman are the two best known players when the remaining field of 24 comes back today to find out the names of the 8 finalists at this year's PokerStars EPT Grand Final.

The Coinflip pro blogger is in 9th place with a stack of 1,094k. After some early difficulties when his stack went below 300k, Sami got to a new start when he flopped a straight in a 5-way pot and busted Moritz Kranich who tried to make a move with two overcards. Later Sami's stack got a nice injection when Diaz gave him his chips with a bizarre overbet: Kelopuro opened for 55k, Diaz called from the big blind. Flop 932 rainbow went check-check, turn Q and Diaz shoved for 400k, Sami called. Diaz turned over Q8, Sami had AQ and collected his opponent's chips.

Play will continue today at noon CET (6am ET) and you can follow the action live via livestream, or at PokerStars Blog.
