A Finnish news site is making headlines about a court case involving the poker pro and Coinflip blogger Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuro. The case is coming to court in Helsinki on November 8th and while the reason for the case is not yet official information, Sami explained it to us.

"It's basically nothing," Sami says. "I moved abroad in 2009 and left my old car in Finland. I simply forgot to pay the tax on the vehicle," he explains.

So, now the government is suing Sami for an unpaid vehicle tax of a few hundred euros. Ironically the government is still well on the plus side from their dealings with Mr Kelopuro, as in 2009 he had to pay more than €800,000 income tax for his poker winnings.

Since then Sami has moved his headquarters to Monaco where taxation is not nearly as heavy as in Finland.

In Finland poker pros have to pay income tax for all winnings from non-EU countries, while winnings earned in EU countries are tax free.
