The FTOPS XIX is turning out to be the biggest to be held so far. On Sunday, the series' biggest ever prize pool was created, ticking in at $3.4 million in the $300 NLHE Multi-Entry Event #24.

Full Tilt Poker's increasingly popular online poker series, the FTOPS, has reached its nineteenth installment.

Promising more than $30 million in guaranteed prize money spread over roughly 45 events, the series is only surpassed by competitor PokerStars' World Championship of Online Poker at $50 million.

The FTOPS XIX will as it has become custom culminate with a $640 NLHE Main Event, due to be played this Sunday, but already the series has seen results being made and records being broken.

Firstly, the record for most registered players into a single event fell on Sunday in Event #22, the $120 NLHE Knockout.

A whopping 23,342 players joined in, creating a $2.33 million combined prize pool, more than double the $1 million guarantee.

"LilPokerGirlie" ended up winning the groundbreaking event, $279,000 and the coveted FTOPS jersey trophy after making a deal with runner-up "daCav04".

The record for biggest prize pool was also smashed Sunday, this time in Event #24, the $300 NLHE Multi-Entry tournament.

Here, 11,343 players signed up, squeezing the combined prize money into $3,402,800.

According to PokerNewsDaily, that is almost $300,000 more than the previous record, which was set in the previous FTOPS Main Event at $3,013,800.

Jason "NovaSky" Koon ended up snatching the record first prize, securing himself a $458,550 bankroll boost.

Alexander "AD_84" Debus finished as runner-up for $341,268, while "O0Brian0O" got $336,550.

FTOPS XIX will run for the remainder of the week and will conclude with the $600+$40 NLHE Main Event on Sunday at 5pm ET.
