Full Tilt Poker and PKR are the latest well-known online poker sites to get a license in the French internal market. All in all nine new licenses were issued, with a couple of them going to smaller poker operators and the rest for sports and horse betting.


The strongest positions in France belong to Pokerstars.fr and Everestpoker.fr, with Ongame.fr and Partypoker.fr coming next. PokerStars' French site is already the 9th biggest online poker room in the Pokerscout ranking. Everest Poker is quite strong in France with a 7-day player average of 850 which is not far behind their international site (1,140), so it will be interesting to see what Full Tilt Poker can do in the country.
