Gus Hansen took probably the worst beating of his poker career from Friday to Saturday, reports Highstakesdb.com. While we don't know the final results for these sessions yet, the Dane lost a staggering 1.2 million dollars in a 24 hour spell. Gus's tormentors were Di "Urindanger" Dang and David "MR B 2 U SON" Benyamine, both of whom had had long lean spells in the high stakes games.
Di was running great against Gus and won $740k. To see just how great he was running, take a look at these hands:
Semi-bluff turns good on the river in a $238k pot. Video here.
Turn hits Gus, but river hits Di again, $217k in the pot. Video here.
Gus started well against David Benyamine, but the Frenchman stormed back and was up $640k by the time of the report.
Incredible flop in a $242k pot. Video here.
Set over set for Benyamine in a $236k pot. Video here.
We will see the full results for Saturday's games later, hopefully Gus has managed to salvage at least some of the money he lost earlier.
