David "raptor" Benefield just played a horror session at the high stakes PLO on Full Tilt Poker, dropping $664,000 or more than 40% of his winnings this year in just a little over 2,000 hands.

Benefield played 2,097 hands at 200/400 or 500/1k PLO losing $664,114 in the process. According to Highstakesdb.com, he was $1.5 million in the plus in 2010 before this session, so he lost approximately 44% of his winnings in just these 2k hands. While a loss like this is nothing new in itself, it's a startling reminder of the insane variance at these stakes.

Patrik Antonius was the biggest winner in the session, playing just 289 hands but ending up $385,000 in the plus, while rumprammer (206k), Gus Hansen (145k) and Di "Urindanger" Dang (133k) also benefited.

Patrik Antonius is currently sitting at a 500/1k PLO HU table with a $399k stack waiting for the next challenger.
