We thought we had seen it all on GSN's High Stakes Poker, and then the producers heard of Tom Dwan, and so did we. On the latest episode of HSP the Golden Nugget saw Tom 'durrrr' Dwan return to get some action.

The Simpsons co-creator Sam Simon abruptly left the table and we saw durrrr take his seat. During the episode he appeared to be quiet until the final hand which went as follows: Howard Lederer bet $3,500 holding Ad Kd and Dwan aggresively raised to $11,300 with 8 6 offsuit. Comments on the table were Lederer was about to get "durrrred" but he re-raised to $36,300 and durrrr pushed to $65,600 and Lederer called. Flop ran 3 2 Q, both players checked. then the turn was an 8, action went check-check and the river was a 9. Lederer checked followed by Dwan. Dwan flipped a pair of eights to take the $134,000 pot down and the table was stunned. Watch the video here and be shocked yourself.

On another hand, we saw Finnish poker prodigy Patrik Antonius show us why he ranks amongst the top poker players in the world. Antonius straddled, Laak fired $6,000 with A J, Lederer called with pocket eighs and Antonius called with 10s 4s. The flop came 3 2 4 one spade and Laak bet $16,000, Lederer folded and Anonius called with his pair of fours. The turn was the Ks which left Antonius with a pair and a flush draw, Laak bet $37,300, Antonius called. The river was the Qd, Antonius checked and Laak fired $80,000 which led to Kaplan commenting “Phil Laak bet really fast. Usually, that’s an indication of bluffing.” Antonius hesitated for a moment but finally made the call and took down the $287,400 pot. Antonius has got some great poker instincts.

Let's see what comes up next Sunday on our favourite poker show.
