2+2 nick name "bigbrennan" recently posted a message on the forum saying the iPoker network have unfairly denied him a jackpot win of $160,000. It started when the British player was playing at the network's $50+$9 Fort Knox SNG Jackpot tables, managed to win 6 in a row and thought he had won the Jackpot. However, iPoker accused him of collusion and refused to pay the money.
According to bigbrennan, he was sponsored by Badbeat.com at the time and played under his own nick name on an account owned by Badbeat. He says iPoker provided him the following evidence on collusion:
1. There was another Badbeat player in the same sit & go's. iPoker accuse them of soft play and telling their cards to one another. (bigbrennan says the hand histories don't show anything unusual.)
2. The number of British players in these sit & go's was over the average. (Of course it was, they were played 8pm to 10pm British time, says bigbrennan.)
3. A relatively new account went crazy and gave their chips to bigbrennan holding just A high on a 4-straight board. (Happens all the time in these games, says bigbrennan.)
If this is indeed all the evidence iPoker have provided, it does seem harsh indeed to take away $160,000 from the player. bigbrennan states that iPoker have flatly refused to pay and no one at the company have been willing to talk to him, so he wanted to go public with his complaint.
Naturally, we have only his own word that things have gone the way he has described.
