Betclick, known primarily as a sports betting site, announce they are about to sign up the Canadian poker pro Isabelle Mercier, who was previously with the PokerStars pro team.

Betclick have not put much focus on poker before this, but the signing of Mercier is part of their new plans of improving and expanding their poker offering.

Earlier it was speculated (read here) that Isabelle left PokerStars because she had grown tired of touring the circuit, but apparently it's more likely that Betclick came up with a better offer for her or she just needed the change.

At the same time Betclick also announce they are about to launch new sites in October facing Belgium, Holland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania. This is as part of their parent company Mangas Gaming's strategy of finding new market areas.

Mangas already have a strong presence in the Scandinavian and German speaking countries through Expekt and Bet-at-Home.
