Interest in the upcoming PartyPoker Big Game IV just jumped through the roof thanks to this news related by Tony G: Isildur1 has decided to take up his staking offer and will join the tv cash game.
The news about Tony G's offer to Isildur1 can be found here. It should also be noted that Tony G talks about Isildur1's decision on his blog entry dated March 31 and this is NOT an April Fool's joke.
Isildur1 informed Tony of his decision via e-mail. It is not yet clear whether he still wants to remain anonymous and sit down at the table wearing a mask. "He is seriously thinking about just revealing himself to the world but the mask offer still stands," Tony mentions.
It's easy to understand the reasons behind Isildur1's decision; who wouldn't want to freeroll in a tough cash game fully staked? For Tony G it might prove expensive but he doesn't seem to mind. "How much is this going to cost me? In all honesty, I don’t really know at the moment and I don’t care. I will destroy him even though I am staking him with my own money." (Though of course if Tony is the one who "destroys" Isildur1 at the table, he is winning his own money back.)
"This will be the biggest poker event in history," Tony G says. Perhaps we won't go that far, but it will be interesting to watch for sure.
If Isildur1 joins the table without a Kermit mask, the poker world will finally know if he is indeed the Swedish player Viktor Blom (pictured) as most players already think.

Will it be some nerdy swedish kid we've never seen or heard of before or will it be Blom?
I'm pretty sure Tony G wrote on his blog that he can confirm Viktor is Isildur1 and now he claims to be good friends with him so I think it's a safe bet. Too bad Blom will now have to pay loads of taxes since he's no longer anonymous...

He will probably go broke then... Acording to swedish tax-laws he will owe billions.

"Frågan är känslig. Troligtvis är de främsta motiven till den hemliga identiteten rent skattetekniska. Eftersom Full Tilt Poker är en sajt som har sin bas utanför EU ska varje vinsthand beskattas enligt svenska skatteregler, inte totalvinsten över ett år. Om Isildur1 bor i Sverige är han alltså i praktiken skyldig skatteverket flera miljarder kronor, trots att han slutade fjolåret med mångmiljonförlust."
It's April 1. guys -.-
