For some time now it has been rumored in the poker world that Tom "durrrr" Dwan is about to sign for Full Tilt Poker. It's become official now, as the site have just announced that Dwan will join Team Full Tilt as the 14th member of that elite group.

Dwan is one the most followed and admired poker pros today, and probably does not pale in comparison to Phil Ivey or Patrik Antonius in terms of popularity. It is yet too early to say whether he is equal to them as a player, too, since he's just 23 and hasn't had the opportunity to prove he can last in the toughest games like Ivey and Antonius have.

"Team Full Tilt doesn't take adding a team member lightly," said Team Full Tilt member, Howard Lederer. "But, (Tom Dwan) will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come. We are proud to count Tom as one of our own."

The current members of Team Full Tilt are Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer, John Juanda, Jennifer Harman, Phil Gordon, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Andy Bloch, Mike Matusow, Gus Hansen, Allen Cunningham, and Patrik Antonius. Their contract with the site is on another level compared to the "regular" Red Pros, even if the Red Pros have considerable benefits, too. It is generally assumed the Team Full Tilt earn a share of the profits generated by the site.

It's not all roses, though, for it seems that the legendary "curse of the red pros" is affecting Dwan, too. Previously many players have instantly gone into a downswing after signing with FTP, and now it seems that Dwan's first session after his deal was made public ended in a million dollar loss in a HU match with isildur1; but more about that later when we have more details...
