The line up of the November 9 will be decided at the Rio on Wednesday, and just about everybody in the poker world is still hoping that Phil Ivey will be included in the mix. Despite losing some ground in the late stages of Day 7, he is still very much in the picture in 4th place so the chances are more than good.
The chip leader is still Darvin Moon, who had an up and down Day 7 but came back strongly to reclaim first position with 20 million chips.
Also still in the field: Antonio Esfandiari, Ludovic Lacay, Jeff Shulman, and the winner of the unofficial and tongue-in-cheek Last Woman Standing Cup (contributed by Wicked Chops Poker), Leonor "Leo" Margets from Barcelona, Spain.
Some of the players to bust out on Day 7 were Joe Sebok, Tom Schneider, Blair Rodman and last year's November 9 chip leader Dennis Phillips, who made another great run before his luck ran out in a cruel way in 45th place: his chips went in with AK suited vs. Francois Balmigere's AK suited, but Balmigere made a flush on the river.
Like before, the play commences at 12pm local time (9 pm CET), follow the updates on Pokernews.
