Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese dominated the WPT Foxwoods when the televised final started but it was Jeff Forrest, a student from Orlando, Florida, who took down the title and $548,752 first prize. Forrest beat the field of 242 and satellite qualifier Dave Inselberg heads up before he was crowned the champion of Foxwoods in his first ever WPT event.
Jeff Forrest is a student in the University of Central Florida and he's first and foremost an online player. According to his Pocket Fives profile, Forrest plays a lot online under the alias "jp4est" and has won over $700,000 in his career. When Forrest was asked what is his favorite place to play live poker when creating his PocketFives profile, he simply answered, "I dont like to". It's most probable that Forrest will update the answer to "Foxwoods" when he gets back home.
Forrest's biggest live cash before the WPT Foxwoods title was second place at the $1,500 NLHE side event in EPT Caribbean Adventure for $117,291 earlier this year. After the Foxwoods title Forrest has won over $700,000 both live and online. Kimberly Lansing interviewed Forrest on day 4 when he was a chipleader of the main event. Day 4 also happened to be the Halloween. Watch the interview here!
