High stakes limit games specialist Jennifer Harman has decided to donate 1% of her winnings in the future. Harman's chosen charity is the NephCure Foundation which funds research of kidney diseases.
It's a natural choice for Harman, who has undergone two kidney transplants. She will make the donations through All-In for a Cure, a pledge program organized by Poker Players International. Other players who have already joined the program are Matt Glantz, Lee Childs, Frank Vizza and PPI founder Eugene Castro.
PPI's marketing director Eric Siegel, who's son has a kidney disease, is understandably delighted at having a player with Harman's reputation on board.
Last year Harman organized a charity tournament where $107,000 was raised to the National Kidney Foundation. She also hosts an annual charity tournament for the Nevada Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
