Young Swedish player Jimmy Jonsson took down his first major win at the Unibet Open Warszaw event on Sunday for 161,271 euros.
"I'd like to think it was all down to my skill, but the truth is I got lucky as well," the happy winner said.
At heads up stage Jonsson defeated Regis Burlot, who had dominated the tournament for long spells. In the final hand Jonsson bet 115k on the button, call. Flop Kd Jc 8c, Jonsson c-bet for 130k, Burlot check-raised to 300k, Jonsson immediately moved all-in and got a call.

Jonsson turned a 9 which gave him his straight but Burlot also got outs for a full house. The river blanked and Jonsson's win was settled.
The event attracted 401 players. Unibet Open has quickly become the second biggest tournament series in Europe.
