PokerStars have once again made a top signing to their stable of sports ambassadors, as the Argentinian midfield maestro Juan Sebastian Veron has agreed to become the face of PokerStars in the Latin American market.
According to a press release, Veron is featured in a PokerStars.net ad (see below) that is running in the Latin American countries, and he will also be part of future campaigns.
35-year old Veron has played for a host of club teams in his career, including Estudiantes de la Plata, Boca Juniors, Sampdoria, Parma, Lazio, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Inter before returning to Estudiantes four years ago. He had 60 international caps before the start of the World Cup.
His passing is still strong, as was evident at the Argentina-Greece match at the World Cup: he completed 153 passes to his teammates, a new record for one match. And he can dance, too, as you can see below.
