Boosted J has just agreed to a deal that will tie him in as a sponsored player for Full Tilt Poker. This after having an amazing performance at this year’s WSOP with 5 cash finishes. His best was an eighth place finish in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo Championship. He is well known for his great style of play in different games, including Pot Limit Omaha, Seven Card Stud, Lowball and Heads Up.

His total earnings for live tournaments add up to more than $700,000. He’s recently enjoyed an increase in popularity due to the knee injury he sustained at the Bellagio Cup V. It’s probably the only documented injury a poker player has had during celebration. He was eventually eliminated in third place, but he had an ice pack and $464,870 to make him feel better.

Smith joins a laundry list of players that include many Hollywood celebrities, Don Cheadle, Bruce Buffer, and poker pros like Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, John Juanda, Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, and Patrik Antonius.
