German poker player, Dominik Nitsche, has made history by taking down the richest LAPT in history, the LAPT Grand Final in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Nitsche is only 18 years old and he dominated the final table all the way until the end.

The final table only lasted 4 hours until Nitsche found himself in heads-up play against Mexican Jorge Landazuri. Many Mexican poker enthusiasts were supporting him from the crowd expecting to see their countryman take down the title, but Nitsche was there to prove them wrong.

Heasd-up play only lasted for one hand. Landazuri underestimated young Dominik's hand strength and tried to bluff all-in against trips. Dominik pocketed $381,030 for his efforts.

“We are extremely proud of the quality of all of our LAPT events” says LAPT President Glenn Cademartori “This has been the largest poker tour in the history of Latin America with three tournaments producing prize pools of at least $1 million USD.  The Mar del Plata grand final shattered the previous prize pool record with over USD $1.4 million up for grabs. It’s a fantastic way to finish an incredible season.” commented LAPT President Glenn Cademartori.
