English poker pro Liv Boeree is experiencing the highlight of her career after she won the Sunday Warmup on PokerStars for $147,780. In a new interview, Boeree talks about her recent heater.

Team PokerStars pro Liv Boeree on Sunday took one of her short career's biggest wins, as she ended in first place in the Sunday Warmup on the PokerStars home ground for $147,780.

Boeree, who has a degree in astrophysics, bested a starting field of 4,710 on her way to her biggest online result to date, in the process demonstrating why she is one of the hottest running female poker pros of the day.

In a new interview with PokerTube from the recent UKIPT in Nottingham, the stunning poker beauty now talks about her recent upswing, and the life as an emerging poker star.

"I'm definitely on a heater. I'm running really well, playing really well, I'm really pleased," Boeree said.

"The Warmup was fairly straightforward. I was very patient in the later stages, picking up a lot of good hands and people just kept playing back at me. But I was really pleased with the way I played. It's given me a lot of confidence," she added.

Boeree's Sunday win is just the latest in a remarkable string of high-end results, and the culmination of a fantastic year which has given her more almost $2 million in live and online cashes combined.

The sudden success has made the British starlet a well known name in the poker community, forcing her to deal with her new status in ways she never imagined.

"It's weird. The other day I was sitting having a drink and some food in Hooters, and someone started filming me. But I don't mind. Everyone is quite friendly and I like it, as long as nothing scary or dodgy happens," she said.

Boeree further revealed that she is playing in the NBC National Heads-Up Championships in March, and that she is considering making a move to Las Vegas to further pursue her pro career.

Before that, she plans to play more live tournaments, aiming for more major titles to her already impressive CV.

"I'm a title junkie. I'm definitely gunning to take down more titles, hoping that I get to bink another EPT," she said.

So far, Boeree's biggest win came in April last year, as she won the EPT San Remo for $1.68 million. Her lifetime total is as of today $2.1 million, of which $1.8 was won in 2010 alone.
