More info on the huge cash game running in Macau. After the updates by Matt Savage and Tom Hall, it's Stella Yeh, the marketing director of Poker King Club who has some interesting updates on the proceedings. Apparently Chinese businessman has challenged Tom Dwan to a huge heads up match, and Chau Giang has won a pot worth approximately 2.7 million USD!

According to Yeh on her post on the 2+2 forum, the biggest game in Macau has been running at Starworld for over a year and it's frequented by businessmen who turned to poker from baccarat, the traditional pastime of Chinese gamblers. "I've seen some players improve over the years and come out consistent winners each session. Yet I've seen others continue to try and chase very expensive gut shots or flush draws just because 'they could feel it'...lolz," Yeh writes.

Yeh also mentions that a wealthy Chinese businessman has said he is flying over from Beijing and wants to challenge Tom Dwan to a heads up match, which should be something to see (if only we could see it...).

"Durr & Phil are taking a break, catching up on some sleep," Yeh mentions in her update, which naturally inspired the photoshoppers on 2+2 (see the pic). While Phil and Tom were cozily napping, the Big Game veteran Chau Giang was in the middle of a session with the regulars in the game and won a huge pot. Here's how the hand went down (10,000 HKD = 1,300 USD = 940 EUR):

Blinds 10k/20k HKD with 10k ante. There's a 40k straddle on the table.

Preflop: Chinese player raises to 10k, Chau Giang raises to 500k, call.
Flop JJT. Chau checks, Chinese player bets 1.2 million, call.
Turn A. Chau checks again, Chinese player open shoves for 9 million (the pot was approximately 3.5 million), Chau calls.

Chau: AA
Chinese player: AJ

With his higher full house, Chau drags in the pot worth more than 20 million HKD, approximately $2.7 million or €1.9 million.

According to Stella Yeh, in this session the blinds were later raised to 20k/40k and finally at 9am, when other players decided to call it a night (or rather morning), two Chinese players played for 6 more hours and decided to put some spice into the game with 50k/100k blinds. That's $6,500/$13,000 or €4,700/€9,400.
